Bruisers G’day Camping is a wonderful and entertaining book that introduces children to the varied and interesting animals of Australia’s Outback. Bruiser and Dash are two Australian dogs that go into the Outback and discover the wonders of nature. Along the way, they meet animals such as wallabies, wombats, emus, a big thorny devil, and many other animals that are not seen anywhere else in the wild. They even see the strange-looking platypus. They love their home but enjoy a good adventure. Join these two Australian dogs as they safely explore and feed their curiosity at the same time. What new adventures and experiences can you enjoy? While exploring the environment around you, always remember that safety comes first. Enjoy learning about the amazing animals of the Outback, then learn if you have any strange animals in your own neighborhood.
Author Diana Smith encourages a child’s natural curiosity in Bruisers G’day Camping. Learning about one’s environment is part of growing up and Diana makes it fun by using rhymes. Diana writes lively descriptions of the various animals found in Australia’s Outback. Julie Leiman Weaver is the illustrator and does a magnificent job bringing the animals to life. While this is a children’s picture book, adults will enjoy seeing the variety of creatures found nowhere else on the planet. Discuss with your children how to explore safely and have fun at the same time. Before you take your children on their nature adventure, teach them what plants to avoid and how to stay safe from dangerous wild animals like snakes. Also, teach your children how to respect and take care of nature.
