Do you want to improve in some areas of your life but do not know where to start? Maybe it depends on some habit you should change? Bob Savar’s Breakable Habits: Proven and Powerful Methods for How to Quit Smoking, Eating Healthy, Losing Weight, and Breaking Bad Habits is perfect if you want to achieve something different and believe that breaking old habits is the first step toward lasting change. In this well-researched and inspiring book, the author clarifies how habits are formed, helps you identify bad ones, and helps you build good ones through strategy and persistence. Savar will also explain why it is important to have a support community, how to manage setbacks, how to organize your surroundings to maintain good habits, and much more.
Breakable Habits shares many concepts that, until now, I had found scattered throughout various texts. This is the first strong point of the book because readers can concentrate on the topics and get the maximum benefit without having to do more research (although the author suggests further reading for those who wish to learn more). Because Bob Savar has thoroughly analyzed habits, readers can easily grasp the several stages of their formation and learn how to keep or break them. I appreciate how the discussion broadens one's perspective by examining the environment and the possibility of having a support community because, often, these aspects are neglected. All these qualities make Breakable Habits a worthwhile read for those who wish to improve in one or more areas of their lives. I heartily recommend it.
