He went far away from home in the hopes of making a refuge for himself and finding a purpose in his life rather than just simply being. He gets a case in which he has to find a fox who was trying to find out where the hairless apes of centuries ago disappeared. He thought this would be a case that he could enjoy and prove himself to the people around him. He had no idea that he would be making his fiancée a target. Now not only his fiancée is missing, but his past is out there to get him. Can he find the answers and the missing fox in time?
Braxton Snow P.I. by Danny C Estes is the first book in The Snow Adventures series. When I read the blurb, I thought this would be like a modern version of Animal Farm. However, I was very surprised to find that the author kept his own story and made his characters his own. The story was very intense and interesting; the characters were beautifully developed and given ample opportunity to redeem themselves. I enjoyed Braxton’s storyline, his struggles and his need to prove himself worthy of the people around him. However, more than that, I really enjoyed the fact that Braxton was out to prove to himself that he was better than his clan. The fast pace of the story, the amazing thrill, and the added action made this a wonderful novel to read. I enjoyed the narrative, I enjoyed the character development and I enjoyed how interesting the author kept the story until the very end. I wasn’t expecting this ending and now I can’t wait to get my hands on the next novel in the series. Very entertaining and interesting.
