Luke Mathius Harlow was born in Great Grimsby, originally a large fishing port. He has been writing short stories since he was very young. He loves stories with unexpected twists which keeps the reader turning pages. As a writer, he particularly likes tales that have only one purpose... to make you smile.
Luke has written both fiction and non-fiction books in the past, but is now focusing on writing for young children.
His début picture book story for children is based on a character called Mister Bubble. Mister Bubble is a series of fun books for children between the ages of 4 – 8 years old.
"Because you squeezed my bottle and set me free, I will grant you three wishes," Mister Bubble told the children.
"Any three wishes you want. But beware; if the wishes are not kind and good, the wish you make is likely to go wrong!"
The Mister Bubble series aims at being both entertaining and instructional to young minds.
Luke has a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Lincoln, England, UK.

Brandon and Isobelle’s Family Christmas: Brandon's Books by Luke Mathius Harlow is an ideal book for children to read this season as it captures the essence and spirit of Christmas beautifully. Asha gets started with the tree stand and she asks the other four to lend a helping hand. The cousins have fun pulling out the tree and opening its branches. The tree starts gaining height, but Brandon likes it when it is smaller. Isobelle wants to be next to the tree and Josephine stands on the chair to adjust the topmost branches. Once the lights and decorations are put up, the tree looks beautiful and the kids are tempted to keep it till July. They decorate the windows and they have a fun time making the room look twinkly and bright.
The story is simple and it speaks about five kids getting the Christmas tree ready. It’s an ambiance that many children can relate to and the pictures help them connect well with the cousins in the story. It’s a good bedtime storybook that can be read out at night, especially during the Christmas season, and children can use for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries to create the feel of Christmas. The Christmas season is joyful, filled with mirth and happiness, and the author captures it well through these children and their enthusiasm to decorate the Christmas tree and the windows in the room. Brandon, Isobelle, Asha, Thea, and Lacie make it a lovely Christmas story for young readers.
