Boysie Blake: Problem Solver by Max Myers is a murder mystery set in Hollywood. Boysie is a problem solver. Not his own – yours. It doesn’t even matter if you pay him or not because he doesn’t do it for the money. He just wants you to be on the level with him – otherwise you could end up as the problem that Boysie needs to solve. Michael Santoro is Boysie’s stepfather. He was found face down in Sycamore Cove, apparently a victim of drowning while surfing. Detective Lawton tries to help with the investigation, but he has too many problems of his own. A powerful art dealer has managed to sort out a deal between two highly dangerous people from Hollywood for a Pollock that has never been seen before. The problem is, it’s a fake. Now the art dealer is in trouble for $150 million. Boysie has to solve this problem without any blood being spilt. The buyer is the dealer’s ex-husband and he wants her dead. The seller is a violent gangster and both have tough minders. The big question is, what does Santoro have to do with all of this? Was his death an accident or was there something more sinister at play here?
Boysie Blake: Problem Solver by Max Myers is murder mystery of epic proportions with all the ingredients for a top seller. Max Myers seems to have his finger on the pulse of Hollywood society – the dark side of it – and has written a novel that is worthy of the big screen. Excellent storyline, fantastic characters and the way it has been written is just amazing. It has a way of catching you unawares and keeping you hanging, making you read to find out what’s coming next. Great story, and I hope there’s more where this came from.
