Autumn Falls (Paradise Pines Series) by Delia Latham is another tender and inspiring romance that will capture your attention and your heart. Autumn Warren convinces her friend Ceci, Cecily Adams, to take a vacation with her before Ceci flies off to Italy to marry her fiancé, Gabe. Destination, Paradise Pines where you are surrounded by the beauty of nature, peace and quiet and a bit of the divine. The first person the two women meet is a man who appears to be the gardener, a man named Russ Amundsen. He and Autumn have a small battle of wills and first impressions are made. Even with tempers flaring, they both find the other attractive, but neither is looking for a relationship, both have actually sworn off relationships. When Autumn encounters a child, Dalynn, who has wandered away from her parents, she helps the small girl find her father who turns out to be Russ. As they seem to be continually thrown together by circumstances, a fondness quickly develops. Autumn has another friend that comes by regularly, a Blue Jay that she calls Mr. Blue. He brings her presents with a message that she needs to learn and her little emissary from God is having an impact. I enjoyed the reference to Job 12 concerning Mr. Blue. As Autumn begins to understand, and as she and Russ reluctantly allow their relationship to grow closer, there are still concerns that must be addressed.
