David Bassano's enthralling collection contains tales that breeze by and leave you with a mix of emotions. This anthology features sixteen short stories alongside flash fiction with a wide range of themes you can pick from any time you get the reading itch. I enjoyed them all, but something about "Rock in the Flood" made it my favorite among the bunch. In these stories, Bassano masterfully captures human emotions in a way that feels genuine and authentic, and it makes his characters easy to sympathize with. I'm glad I read this anthology. For anyone who enjoys short stories, grab a copy and treat yourself. You won't regret it!
