It is the year 1922. A routine tourist expedition goes horribly wrong when archaeologist Sam Raia Biming and his crew hear a terrifying scream and discover a blood-covered gold ankh amulet of Horus at an ancient burial site in Stonehenge. Meanwhile, the Helm of Amun is stolen from the British Museum and replaced by a gold ankh amulet representing Nephthys, the goddess of death. To solve the mystery, Sam seeks the help of C. Carroway and Associates, but before Ace and her team arrive on Sky Arrow One, Sam disappears. Ace soon discovers that the key to the puzzle might lie with the identification of the kekewe-saew. From author Guy Worthey comes yet another enthralling installment of The Ace Carroway Adventure series in Ace Carroway And The Midnight Scream.
Ace Carroway And The Midnight Scream is an action-packed novel filled with the bizarre twists and turns of an intriguing plot. Guy Worthey's novel is fast-paced and wildly entertaining, with plenty of action and drama to keep you hooked. For some reason, I couldn't help but get the vibes of The Mummy movies. However, Guy Worthey's story feels highly original and authentic with its rich and distinct characters and a generous sprinkling of humor spread throughout the plot. Anyone who likes to read a fun-filled action-oriented mystery novel should give Ace Carroway And The Midnight Scream a go. Even though it is the fifth book in the series, it also works seamlessly as a standalone novel. I enjoyed it immensely and I would highly recommend it.
