In Deception by Aaron T. Knight, research physicist Bill Beasley discovers an innovative laser-based energy force field. Bill creates an electronic gadget capable of manipulating laser beams, making him completely invisible. This device belongs to the US government, which financed the project, but Bill cannot let the government discover it. If this device falls into the wrong hands, it could have catastrophic consequences. Bill was troubled by the thought that he might inadvertently cause the world's destruction with his device and considered destroying it. Since he was under observation, Bill entrusted the device to his close friend, Charlie, for safekeeping. However, Charlie's life quickly spiraled out of control when the CIA began monitoring him. The CIA was convinced that Charlie was assisting Bill in concealing the device and sought to gather proof of this claim.

The storyline in Deception by Aaron T. Knight was captivating and intricate. I was engrossed from beginning to end, making it hard to put the book down. There was so much happening that I found myself flipping through the pages as quickly as possible, worried about missing something crucial. The writing style was engaging, allowing me to easily immerse myself in Bill and Charlie’s realm of invisibility. The characters were well-crafted and relatable. Charlie was my favorite character; even in dire circumstances, his humor often shone through. At times, I burst out laughing while reading. The story was exceptionally written, making invisibility feel like a commonplace reality. This book surpassed all my expectations, and I occasionally think about certain moments from it.
