A Full Bubble Off Plumb by Jeff Zwagerman is the second book starring the main character, Sander “Zander” Van Zee. At the start of this tale, Zander returns home after twenty years to bury his parents. Feeling restless, he decided to stick around and see if he can come up with some deeper meaning to his existence. So he begins to reconnect with old friends and acquaintances from his past. Zander hopes that redeveloping these relationships might help him become more solid in himself again. Just when Zander thinks that his idea might be working, Quentin Stryker reappears and stirs up frustration in his emotions. Zander has to learn how to deal with the small frustrations of life before they threaten to bury him, and he is no longer able to handle the weight he carries.

A Full Bubble Off Plumb was an interesting story covering quite a lot of different topics that will appeal to a wide range of readers. First, it is a story about going back home, which can be a very hard reality to face. Next, it is about burying family members, which a lot of people can relate to. It is about starting over and reconnecting with long lost friends. The story was sad and sometimes depressing. But it was also funny and inspirational and clever. Author Jeff Zwagerman did a nice job of tying this story together. The story wasn’t one-sided. It was fully dimensional and filled with hidden gems of wisdom that readers will really appreciate.
