Immigrants have played an important role in shaping America in many ways. Janet Slingerland's 12 Immigrants Who Made American Sports Great sheds light on the immigrants who made an immense contribution to the world of sport and brought laurels to America with their success. Each chapter has the biographical details of these people and the notable contributions that have made them popular and successful, not only in America but in the world. The book covers different areas of sports ranging from tennis to golf to gymnastics and various other sports, giving readers good insights about these people, the impact they had on society with their game, and the sport they dominated.

Janet Slingerland's 12 Immigrants Who Made American Sports Great is a good way to learn about the immigrants who contributed to sport in America and played a key role in shaping the history of the various sports. Each chapter has wonderful images, fascinating facts, and sidebars that will pull readers into the book and encourage them to learn more about the immigrant sports personalities who played an important role in bringing America to the forefront in different sports.
