At some point in time, we all feel alone. It's okay to sometimes be alone but no one wants to always be alone. In You're Never Alone by Lisa Crystal, children will be inspired and encouraged knowing that they're never alone, even when no one is around. This beautifully illustrated children's picture book presents a powerful mantra of affirmation that your child can learn and repeat as needed. It will instill peace within them during the times that they're feeling alone and sometimes afraid. When anyone, especially a child, feels the love and warmth of someone close to them, it instills a feeling of security. This book will help in making your child feel both safe and secure because they know that someone is there. Add this jewel to your library today and help your child build confidence in the world around them.

I found that this book has several meanings which I enjoyed discovering because: 1) it's ideal for a beginning reader; 2) it's an easy read and the various colorful pictures make it fun to read; and 3) the message is insightful for a young reader. I liked how Lisa intertwined the various elements of life to tell the story from the butterfly and turtle to the kangaroo. Also, it allows the child to better see and understand that at some point they would - just like all youngsters - have to grow up, prepare and go out into the world. I honestly believe that this book will be one of your child's favorites that they will want to share with their friends. Enjoy!

You're Never Alone is a children’s picture book written and illustrated by Lisa Crystal. Lucy was definitely not ready for bed when she heard her mom telling her, yes, it was that time. Sometimes, Lucy felt frightened in the dark and alone. When she expressed those feelings to her mom, her mom assured her that she was never alone. Lucy, she said, would always be home in the arms of the people who love her. But Lucy wasn’t so sure what her mom meant when she said that. Her mom went on to explain how all of nature’s creations are protected and nurtured when they are young and helpless. She spoke about birds building nests and keeping their eggs warm, kangaroo moms keeping their joeys safe in their pouches, and she gave other examples from nature.

Lisa Crystal’s You're Never Alone contains a sweet and compelling message for kids who find the darkness at night sometimes scary (who, after all, doesn’t at some time?), and feel a bit intimidated by thunderstorms and other forces of nature. Her story assures kids that they will be protected until they can “go out and conquer the world” in a well-written and inspiring story. Crystal’s illustrations are brightly colored and so expressive of the warmth that resonates throughout this picture book. You're Never Alone is a grand selection for a bedtime read or story hour. It’s also written at a level for new readers to enjoy on their own. It’s most highly recommended.

Lisa Crystal's picture book You're Never Alone is a heartwarming story about little Lucy, who has her own fears about the dark and being alone. It is an interesting conversation between Lucy and her mother about how nature has equipped everyone to take care of themselves in all situations. Lucy learns that having fears is normal and that she has to find the strength within herself to face them and empower herself. Lucy loves the fact that one is never really alone in this world and it is an important lesson for her.

Just the right amount of love and support is all it takes to help a child overcome their fears. You're Never Alone by Lisa Crystal is the right picturebook for a young child to learn about the beauty of nature and the importance of learning to deal with life head-on. Little Lucy is a delightful character and kids will surely relate to her fears and dilemmas. The best way to teach kids about life is to talk about real examples from nature and things they can easily touch, feel or see. The author has succeeded in taking real-life examples in nature to teach young kids about facing their fears, becoming self-reliant and bold.

I will surely read this story to my preschooler and it certainly makes my job as a mother easier by teaching an important concept in a simple manner. Kudos to Lisa Crystal for having done an outstanding job and helping parents have a meaningful conversation about stuff that matters so much to a child.
