You Won’t Remember This by Kate Blackwell is a collection of twelve quaint short stories about life, new beginnings, love and friendship. Kate offers the reader a variety of story lines, some with backdrops of yesteryear while others are created with an essence of British flair. You will enjoy the time you spend in reading each and every story present in You Won’t Remember This by Kate Blackwell. Here’s a teaser, in the title story, You Won’t Remember This you will read about the steps that Angelina and her husband went through to prepare for the birth of their child. Did it fully prepare them? Were the preparations adequate?
I found You Won’t Remember This by Kate Blackwell to be a good read because there was so much variety in each story. As I read each story I become one with the characters and their life adventures, like in the story Carpe Diem which has an interesting twist. Kurt and Carroll are middle aged and appear to be in the prime of their lives. Each has a career and life that they enjoy but they live separately. Kurt travels abroad frequently as a freelance photographer, but each time that Kurt and Carroll get together its explosive. Carroll loves her relationship with Kurt but wonders where is it going? Is there a future? Whenever Carroll asks Kurt about their future together he says 'carpe diem.' Really what does this mean? What is Kurt actually saying to Carroll? Want to know more and discover the twist in this story? In You Won’t Remember This by Kate Blackwell everything is not as it seems.
