Women, Work and Triumph is a compilation of Beverly Gandara’s interviews with 26 marvelous women from different fields. It’s a celebration of success over remarkable hurdles and a shout-out to all that daughters of Eve can achieve in a male-dominated world. Their stories are testaments that we can achieve anything we set our minds to, even in careers that are for “males only”. Beverly Gandara’s book is a must-read for all women struggling to find their voice. It’s a great source of inspiration and an assurance that good things will come to those who wait. Most of all, it’s a reminder to work hard for one’s dream without sacrificing relationships with those who matter the most.
I loved Women, Work and Triumph by Beverly Gandara! It’s inspiring to learn about the journey of the amazing women featured in this book. It’s great to be reminded of how flexible we women are and can reinvent ourselves when we need to! The pressure of society and the expectations placed on our shoulders can be daunting sometimes. Personally, I fear I will never be able to achieve my dream but this book told me age is just a number. I feel grateful to the pioneering women who made the lives of billions better. The workplace is a safer and better place for women because of them. I am encouraged and inspired to keep pursuing my passion. I feel empowered to listen to my inner voice and not be dissuaded by the opinions of others on what I should be doing as a woman (e.g. getting married at my age!). Thank you, Beverly Gandara, for this wonderful book!
