The New World is filled with tribulation, fear and The One Who Is The One. Two siblings, one a witch and the other a wizard, find their purpose as they battle the darkness, growing increasingly aware of the powers they have been given and the revelation of the responsibilities awaiting. The over world has become dangerous for those revolting against The One. The under world is backlogged with the dead and half lights, including the kids' parents and loved ones. Will they find their destiny? Only time will tell.
In an increasingly intense manner, authors James Patterson and Jill Dembowski draw the reader in a way that is subtle and steady. Apocalyptic visions become steadfast in the background as the story unfolds. I found the audio book to be a wonderful choice as I maneuvered through commuter traffic. I volunteered for any errand at work that would allow me to drive my vehicle so I could get just that much more into the book. I sat in store parking lots, not wanting to leave the confines of the car as Whit the wizard and his sister, Wisteria the witch face another challenge, fight yet another foe. It took me a while to become synced in with the actor voices but once I did the story came alive. I highly recommend "Witch & Wizard" to Young adults and adults alike. Those who love fantasy, the apocalyptic, zombie and so forth will find this book right up their alley!
