Whisked Away by Harper Sinclair is a romantic comedy with a fairytale ending. Audrey Hastings is a chef. She loves her job and loves her intimate and popular restaurant. Then Owen Beckett arrives on the scene, a food critic feared by chefs everywhere. Sparks fly in more ways than one when they meet at a charity cook-off. Can her dream restaurant survive his poison pen? Most people don’t realize that Beckett is fighting his own demons, and unless he can get out of his father’s shadow and find himself, things won’t get better. Could Audrey be the person to help him? Can they find each other as they fight their own challenges and face their pasts?
Whisked Away by Harper Sinclair is a fun read, full of humor and romance, with a few skirmishes along the way. It is a truly heartwarming tale with some lovely characters – both our main characters are well-developed into people you can relate to. They face real-life problems and fight real battles in their quest for success and love, and I guarantee you will be rooting for them all the way through. This story has everything you need – plenty of action, a few laughs, and some heart-stopping moments. The descriptive writing will have you salivating in that you can almost taste those amazing recipes! This is a wonderful story to while away a few hours; if it’s raining outside, curl up on your favorite chair and lose yourself in a captivating, compelling story that will grab you from the very first page.
