"Where Did We Go Wrong?" by Monica Mathis-Stowe is a well-written tale of the ups and downs in the lives of three young African-American women. Joy, Gabby and Maxine, the men in their lives, and their families are all delightful characters and Joy, Gabby, and Maxine jump in and out of bed and in and out of sometimes overwhelming situations. The dialogue between the characters is just how they would speak in real life, and readers will be waiting impatiently for the next in the series featuring Joy, Gabby and Maxine.
