When Wives Walk In Grace: Resting in Christ While God Works in Your Marriage was written by author and pastor, Steve McVey. After spending countless hours working with women seeking help for their marriage, Pastor McVey has seen too many women trying to change their husbands when "only God can change anyone.” In When Wives Walk in Grace leads women to seek the Lord for he will fill their hearts with peace, comfort, and reassurance of their self-worth. Often change begins with one’s attitude.
The question and answer format is especially helpful. It encourages the reader to search their heart and to see that sometimes what we want is not what we need. The short stories put a different perspective on our thoughts. The format allows the book to be understood, bringing emotional and mental comprehension to readers. The short stories give this book a certain warmth that it would not have without them. They also offer an example to live by.
This book is written from a Christian stand point and has numerous biblical references with modern day explanations. The main point of this book is to stand back and let God work. God can do all things where we can do nothing on our own. Steve McVey's When Wives Walk in Grace is a beautifully written book that has touched my heart and soul deeply. I know I will refer back to this book in the future and it now has a special place on my book shelves.
