Victoria Bennett is independent, educated, and professional. She also has baggage. A.J. loves her, baggage and all. She refuses to love him. Will she give in?
A.J. is a doctor who adopted twin girls. That alone pulled on my heartstrings. On the other hand, he is brazen, arrogant, and bossy. I had a love-hate relationship with him.
Taylor-Jones writes of African-American characters. She made Victoria real and A.J. a bit over-the-top. A.J. has the chiseled body that probably only exists in books and dreams. Victoria is a size 14. Note that all the men in the book thought that she was hot. I was so glad to not have to read about another size 2 stick figure.
Taylor-Jones’ coffee-fueled nights created a great story. Read and recommend to your friends. I look forward to more of her books.
