In this dramatic tale of love, lust, and lies, author Valerie Taylor crafts an entertaining and gripping story about Kassie, a middle-aged woman who is ready to divorce her husband. She and her husband, Mike, have simply tolerated each other for years, and Kassie is tired of it. She wants to be free of him, but a trip to the hospital for Mike puts all of her plans on hold. It is not until this time that Kassie begins to realize that their marriage is not what it seems, and he has been keeping secrets from her. However, the divorce continues to get put on hold because of situations that are out of her control. What's Not Said is a shocking novel full of secrets, twists, and turns, but it also has elements of pure humor and deep love.
If I had to pick one word to describe What's Not Said, it would be the word "captivating." That is exactly what this story was. From the very first chapter, I was hooked on Kassie's life and the drama inside it. She just couldn't seem to catch a break. The plot was exciting and full of different twists, and Valerie Taylor did a phenomenal job of creating complex characters that I either loved or hated. I could have read this entire book in one sitting if I had had the time for it. There were moments when I would laugh out loud, and there were times when I would feel such intense emotions toward Mike and Kassie. Overall, this was such a fun read, and I would recommend it!
