Well Done: Bringing Soul to the Recipe of Life will inspire many readers to fight for their dreams. Keith Denard Jones relates his story as a chef with more than 40 years of experience. His path was not easy and required many years of sacrifice. His childhood and family life were difficult. From his high school days, he demonstrated an interest in cooking which led to his first job. He conquered stereotypes and overcame other obstacles to make a meaningful life for himself. He had many other jobs later but always had a clear vision. At times he had to restart his career but was never overcome by fear. He would either move or look for another job to continue his progress. Thanks to this, he attended major events and interacted with other renowned chefs. This is a story of integrity and humility where there is a different life lesson in each chapter.
Keith Denard Jones was determined to achieve his dreams. I enjoyed getting to know his personal life and the difficult decisions he had to make, although he always knew how to set his priorities. For him, failure was not an option, and that shows as he explains how he earned the respect of his superiors in different kitchen positions through hard work. Another pleasing aspect is that Well Done includes some original cooking recipes. In addition, he explains clearly how a professional kitchen works. This is a book that everyone should read. Young people will understand the complexity of the working world, and adults will identify with many of the situations. Keith shows that you don't have to compete with others or let intimidation block your path to success. The book is a chronicle of his victories and disappointments, but it is also an affirmation that hard work brings great rewards.
