They say that a dog is man's best friend, but would a dog say that about you? If you're an animal lover, particularly if you are fond of dogs, you should purchase a copy of Walter (Bilingual Version), the heartwarming book by Sara V. Robinson with wonderful illustrations by Edixon Rodriguez that help tell the story. This book is about abuse, trust, love, and acceptance and is written in English and Spanish. Walter, a black Labrador and terrier mix, gives a candid account of life with humans, both good and bad, from his perspective. This book depicts the essence of family, renewal, and gratitude. Walter, who once felt bored and unwanted as Jared in his former life with his previous owner, obtained a new lease on life with another family that he grew to love and appreciate as Walter.
Walter by Sara V. Robinson provides the reader with an insight into the mind of the dog which I fully enjoyed. If your pet could talk, what would they say about you? Would they talk about how much you love them, support them, or protect them, or would they say how much you abuse and neglect them? The reader will join Walter on his various journeys from seeing life from the patio of his previous owner to the dog pound and finally to living with his new owners Sofia and Christian. Just as in life we reflect on "What If?" it is the same for Walter as he thinks back to that special day. What would have happened if he had never decided to jump off the patio? One thing is for sure, without hope and perseverance, Walter would have never obtained the life and family that he once dreamed about and then found. This book is highly recommended. Enjoy!
