“Virtuepops Adventures in Virtueland” is set up with five sections, making it easy and fast to find what you need. In the first section, we meet eight fun and loveable characters representing temperance, charity, courage, patience, chastity, respect, humility and justice. The second section explains how to teach and have fun with these characters. The third section is the fiction part of the book with the Virtuepops fantasy story. The fourth section is a collection of creative, fun poems. And the fifth section includes Parent/Teachers comprehension test questions and answers. This book is full of unique, helpful and useful information. This book teaches children a unique way through poems, games, songs and storytelling using the Virtuepops characters. I like that this book teaches strong and helpful values that stress quality family time, along with many other quality values in ways that children will love and have fun with. I wanted to give an example, so here is a poem I think you will enjoy:
I BELIEVE YOU HAVE A HOME
Popsy wopsy bee buzz,
buzz, buzz, buzz.
Twirtie birdie tweeting,
tweet, tweet, tweet.
They believe in building safe, and loving nests, and homes for their young.
I have a home where I belong. Would you like to know?
We will be taking turns in making sounds.
It could be a birdie that flies, or a creature from the sea, or on the ground.
Then, tell us about your home where you live, and your heart abounds.
And all of the poems and stories have this excitement to them and will capture your child’s attention and make learning fun and easy. There is so much in this book that it is impossible to tell it all in a review. I highly recommend Frances Angelina's book to teachers, home school moms, parents of school age children and to children of all ages. This is a fantastic way of teaching children and I don’t think you will be disappointed with this wonderful book.
