Unruly Pets by Diana Legere is a lovely, fun story with some wonderful illustrations. The pets aren’t just unruly; they are a pretty odd bunch, but that’s part of what makes this book such fun. It is written in rhyme, which flows well, perfectly describing what each picture shows, and the illustrations are drawn more like cartoons. Ms. Legere has a vivid imagination and a great ability to tell stories, and this book will delight kids of all ages. Like many children’s books, this one also has a message about the right way to act and everything having its place – and being put in that place! This should also be included in school curriculums, not just at home, as kids learn as much there as they do at home. A lovely story, well-written, and highly enjoyable.
