What is mindfulness? Picture this when you focus your mind on something specific, embrace and accept it; this is a part of the mindfulness process. Focus. Concentration. Connect. The Ultimate Mindfulness Activity Book: 150 Playful Mindfulness Activities for Kids and Teens (and Grown-Ups too!) by Christian Bergstrom is ideal for anyone who wishes to instill an element of entertainment while creating peace, stillness and balance. This book is a must for your child or teen because there are a variety of many mindfulness exercises and games to be explored.
By participating in these activities you, the reader, will experience an improvement in your cognitive functioning while laughing and having fun. For example, have your child close their eyes, hand them an object, ask them to feel and embrace the object, and then describe it without opening their eyes. Even adults could have fun and benefit from the activities in this book. Begin with practicing mindful breathing; you can do this alone, in a group, or with your child or teen. Or what about sitting and reflecting on music - this simple exercise speaks volumes. There are so many things to stay engaged in this book that you will love it.
Fun, action and engaging! I really enjoyed this book as it had so many things to choose from. This book kept my attention and continued to stimulate my mind. An added bonus is that you get a “ free” audio mindfulness guided course. I liked how the index displayed age appropriate activities where you can find either simple or challenging activities. If you're looking for exercises, games and activities in which your child, teen or even adults can be challenged, engaged and stimulated, this book is it. Enjoy!
