Trouble at Moore Field School by Liam Moiser is a story about Samantha's willingness to spoil the plans of some devious men who want to steal the school's trophies. What lies beneath is the truth behind the appearance of the mysterious men and the tangible hunger they possess for the trophy treasures.
The story is an adventure paced ride of hide and seek. I enjoyed the character of Olivia the most. She is the embodiment of a curious individual who has a strong opinion. Throughout the book, readers will become immersed in the adventure and fall in love with certain characters. For some, they will perceive certain dangers ahead of the story flow. The author's ability to tell a compelling tale is evident. His character description is spot on. I actually smiled at Olivia's response to getting a chance to finally see her father more. When you can evoke an emotional response from readers, then your story has fulfilled its task.
More Field School itself seems to be a repository of mysteries. The drama is done well and everything within the story seems to fit nicely. The author's storytelling gift is apparent. If you're looking for a wholesome book with just the right amount of mystery, look at this one.
