Once again it's time for the spookiest holiday of the year! Halloween is barely days away but everyone's favorite sheep does not sound so excited about it. Lambie feels Halloween is too frightening for this little sheep and she voices her misgivings. It's left to her friends to convince her that Halloween is not one bit as scary as she imagines it. With a Jack-o-lantern, decorations, and ornaments as well as the odd skeleton, everything is set for a Halloween Lambie will never forget. With Time For Halloween, Lambie, this children's storybook written by Carrie Turley and illustrated by Summer Parico promises to be special.
Time For Halloween, Lambie is a book written specifically for children between the ages of 2 and 8. The first thing that catches the reader's eye is the brilliant use of color in the design. The hues are much what you would expect to see if a child wrote it. The rhymes are simple enough to follow. They are spaced out between the equally eye-catching pictures. It is also nice to note that basic shapes are discussed in a do-it-yourself manner that encourages a child to join in the activities mentioned in the book. Carrie Turley and Summer Parico must be commended for the effort put into this book. It is not an easy feat to design a book that appeals to a particular age bracket but, Time For Halloween, Lambie does this with ease.
