Hi there! Alexander Ellis is a debut author from Canberra Australia, originally born in Victoria, but grew up in Canberra since he was nine. A few things inspired him in writing this novel, a partial inspiration was that Alexander was tired of what he considered soft-cocked pirate stories, and after being inspired by a young girl he decided to turn a former Halloween look of his into a character. Alexander has been interested in pirates since he was a boy, he has dressed up as one twice, and had many toys and even books of them during his childhood. But Alexander mostly has his cousin to thank for setting him down the pirate path once he moved to Canberra.

It is the year 1728, and piracy has been outlawed by the government of the day. The members of that storied profession are either dead, in jail, or on the run. Casper, a former pirate, finds himself on an abandoned island, one of only two survivors of the murderous Commodore, a she-devil who seeks to wipe out his kind for her own self-serving reasons. His attempts to escape the island have so far been futile until the appearance of another boat on the shore gives him hope, once he can finish off the unfortunate souls aboard it. How else is he going to find what lies at the marked spots on Captain Maroo's map? There be treasure afoot in Alexander Ellis's book Till I Bleed No More.
Till I Bleed No More by Alexander Ellis is an adventure story of the seafaring kind. The storyline initially sounds a bit predictable but it gets better as it progresses. The addition of an unusual factor to the plot does add a noteworthy twist to the chain of events. Female pirates are something of an oddity in the mainstream so it was a pleasant surprise to see them in this book. I did have some difficulty connecting the dots between the different characters' motives as their conversations sometimes did not quite click for me but I believe this is the author's style of getting the message across. I will leave it to other readers to draw their own conclusions from this. Till I Bleed No More is an interesting and recommended read.
