Thriving in Every Season of Life with God is a delightful and encouraging book written by Donna Louis. Donna takes her readers on a journey through all four seasons and relates them to the different seasons of our life. She encourages her readers to do their part and have faith that God will do His part in giving them an abundant life where His children thrive instead of just survive. Donna uses examples from both modern life—such as Steve Jobs—and biblical characters—such as Job—to illustrate how God honors those who persevere. Since God is no respecter of status, what He did for Bible characters He will do for us. Donna encourages her readers to never give up no matter how long God tarries in fulfilling our destiny to thrive.
Donna Louis, in Thriving in Every Season of Life with God, starts her book by reminding readers that Proverbs teaches that as a man thinks so is he. She goes on to explain how powerful words are and urges her readers to be careful what they verbalize (and by extension, what they think). We need to plan for thriving, then speak as if we have already attained the abundant life where we thrive. She warns of the struggles to come but reminds us that we are to persevere through the struggles until we reach the victory of thriving. The most important thing she discusses is the need to have faith in God and act according to His dictates. He desires us to thrive instead of just survive.
