A wonderful story and stunning artwork equal an excellent book. The Tale of the Tooth Mouse is an amazing story of how the Tooth Fairy—or Tooth Mouse—came into being. This imaginative tale will have children and their parents wondering if there is a Tooth Fairy Prince. This creative story will have children looking forward to losing a tooth and finding out if they will get a coin also. Author George H. Bentz has written a truly wonderful tale that has me believing in a magical Tooth Fairy Prince! I think every school or public library should carry this book on their shelves—it’s an excellent children’s picture book with an interesting story and awesome, realistic-looking illustrations.
The stunning artwork in The Tale of the Tooth Mouse will keep children interested in the book. Illustrator Fanny Liam created outstanding expressions for the mouse and the full-color artwork adorning each page. Since the story is about the legend of the Tooth Fairy Prince, the story takes place during a time of kings and queens and castles and knights. The muted colors used accurately depict the time period. Boys and girls alike will enjoy this story showcasing the milestone of losing your first tooth. Author George H. Bentz tells the story of the first Tooth Fairy Prince and how the tradition evolved. I believe every home should have this book because it’s a fine example of a wonderful story and awesome artwork. It’s bound to become a classic to be read and re-read long after children lose all their baby teeth.
