Mr. Waldorf is going on a trip to a new place in The Spectacular World of Waldorf: Mr. Waldorf Travels to Alaska, Coloring Book by Barbara Terry. Mr. Waldorf is exploring the wild state of Alaska and he is impressed with the amazing mountains and glaciers there. He glances over the edge of a great big glacier to have a look at the glistening river below and his reading spectacles fall from his front pocket into the water. He has to find them before he leaves Alaska or else he will not be able to read. He makes his way to the river but will Mr. Waldorf finally find his reading spectacles?
The story is adorable and the author takes young readers along with Mr. Waldorf to experience the different sights and sounds of Alaska. Children will love Mr. Waldorf and the story is a good teaching tool. Children will find it appealing because it is a coloring book too and there cannot be a better way for children to learn about new places. Children will love salmon fishing with Mr. Waldorf, learning about the Eskimos, looking for the famous bard eagles that live in Alaska, and many other adventures by being a part of the story. It is an innovative and very clever way to encourage children to travel and discover new places. The illustrations are lively and they give a good pace and movement to the story. Children will get drawn into the story and enjoy new adventures while trying to search for the spectacles. Coloring the pictures makes this a fun and interactive story that can be used in classrooms and at home.
