The Seers: Love and Terror on the Fourth of July (Twisted Family Holiday Series) (Volume 3) by JR Wirth tells the tale of a man taking his family across the country to visit his brother for the fourth of July. Along the way, there is a lightning storm. The man's youngest daughter, Jade, hangs out the window of the car and is struck by lightning, just as her father grabs her. They start to see people's futures and the horrible things that are going to happen to them. He tries to prevent them, warn them ahead of time and, along the way, discovers that he is now a Seer. He meets a woman called Lee with the same ability at a casino. They discover that they cannot see each other's futures, only those of the people around them.
JR Wirth has written an interesting story with The Seers: Love and Terror on the Fourth of July (Twisted Family Holiday Series) (Volume 3), but I did think some of the people's reactions were a little unbelievable. A cop taking what a little girl said as fact, without proof, was a little incredulous. The overall story was good, though, and the power they received was an interesting one. It could have been turned into a much longer book. It would have been good to expand on the fact that Jade saw an angel and if it was, in fact, a gift given to them. I think it will do well on the market.
