Once upon a time in a faraway place lived a little boy and his sister in the storybook The Secret Club by Joseph P Cook. They loved playing games with their friends and each other. They wanted to create a Secret Club that would have a flag, name badges, and hold meetings. The brother and sister explained the Secret Club idea to their parents and told them the rules of the Secret Club. The parents were happy after hearing the rules and they promised to help the children get their supplies. They thought of ideas of making a flag and name badges. With the help of their parents, the children could get their Secret Club ready with all that they required. They were so excited that they could not sleep properly that night.
It is a simple story that highlights the bonding between parents and children. The brother and sister in the story respect their parents and listen to them. The illustrations bring the characters and the moments shared together alive to readers. The book is not only good for children to use their imagination to start something new and interesting, but also to encourage them to listen to their parents. Story books like this are good for children to encourage them to be creative and adventurous. It is a good book for parents, teachers, and educators to read out to children because of the positive messages it conveys to readers. I am sure readers will be eagerly waiting to read the next book to find out what the brother and sister are planning to do in the Secret Club.
