The Rabbit Who Wants To Fall Asleep - A New Way Of Getting Children To Sleep by Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin is a wonderful story book that is a tool for parents to get their kids into bed and off to sleep. Many a time children are affected by their surroundings and happenings around them and this may hinder sleep. In this story, Roger Rabbit is very tired but finds it difficult to fall asleep. He goes with his mamma to meet Uncle Yawn. On the way they meet exciting characters like Sleepy Snail and Heavy-Eyed Owl who give them tips on how to fall asleep. Uncle Yawn uses his magic spells and magic sleeping powder on Roger Rabbit to make him fall asleep.
This book is an ideal storybook for parents to keep in their personal collection because it works as a useful guide in helping them handle their kids' sleep problems. It works as a good bedtime storybook for children. The characters are all lovable and charming and the bright illustrations give life and movement to the story. Whether it is Uncle Yawn and his book full of magic spells, or the wise Heavy-Eyed Owl and Sleepy Snail, they all enthrall young readers with their behavior.
The story is simple and there is a serenity and soothing quality in the flow of the story that makes it relaxing to readers. The innovative techniques introduced by the author to get children to sleep are enjoyable, yet at the same time effective.
