Most people wish to retire comfortably. You need to invest your money, but the options are daunting and sometimes conflicting. Do you trust your hard-earned cash to someone who manages other people’s money, or should you do the research yourself? Making money means having to take risks, but which risks are worth taking? Perhaps there is a middle ground. The Pure Equity Plus Plan: Your Plan to a Multi-Million Dollar Retirement by Peter J. Tanous covers the basics of personal finance that relate to investing in stocks. It is perfect for anyone who wants to know about personal financial investment portfolios. Tanous delves into the history of the stock market and the conventional approach that financial advisors propose for under-fifty-year-old clients to retire comfortably. However, the plan that Tanous recommends is different.
The author provides compelling reasons in support of his proposals. The Pure Equity Plus Plan by Peter J. Tanous is written with authority and describes what he believes is the best investment strategy. I learned a great deal from the wealth of knowledge provided in this book. Tanous delves into aspects of financial risk and provides solid arguments against traditional investment practices. His narrative on economics and the history of finance is interesting and often entertaining. I was captivated early on in the book. Tanous makes extensive use of charts to impart his knowledge. The chapters follow each other logically to outline the strategy that Tanous advocates. The book provides guidance and clarity that the layperson can follow easily, especially for those with little knowledge of business or economics.
