The Path To Resilience is a work of non-fiction in the memoir and autobiographical subgenres and was penned by author Severine Desrosiers. The work is intended for the mature reading audience and contains some moderate sexual references and adult themes. In this touching and remarkable story taken from the many events of her real life, Desrosiers moves to the United States with her French-Haitian family from France, only to find that the American Dream is fraught with the prejudice and scrutiny of immigration. Life leads her back and forth across the globe, testing her mettle as she develops into an inspirational woman who can weather any storm thrown at her.
Fans of inspirational stories of hardship, loss, and overcoming adversity are sure to be impressed by the work of author Severine Desrosiers, who has crafted a very engrossing piece of memoir writing with plenty of emotional depth, candid recollection, and relatable moments to offer its readers. Some of the more sudden moments, where the dark side of life takes over, were shockingly raw, but also emotionally well-handled and authentic to the narrative style. Desrosiers’s charm and inner strength unveil a deeply personal story to the reader but also stretch to relate to all those who have faced harsh judgment, loss, grief, and struggle in their lives, and so the stories of her life’s journey work on more complex levels which truly touch the soul. Overall, I would highly recommend The Path To Resilience to fans of inspirational life stories, cross-cultural own voice writing, and for autobiography fans everywhere.
