The Ostermann House is a psychological thriller by J.R. Klein. Professor Michael and Audrey Felton want to get away from Houston and are looking for a place where they can be alone and relax. They found the Ostermann farmhouse in the town of Krivac, Texas. This sturdy house is not far from the university, and it is quiet and peaceful. But everything is not as it appears to be. Michael finds a secret room in the basement, and rumors are circulating that the Ostermann family locked people in there. There is something in the secret room that has enormous power. Strange things started to happen in the house. Objects move around, while windows are broken one minute and fixed the next. The Feltons become trapped on the property by androids that are after the powerful force on the property.

The Ostermann House had me biting my nails from the beginning. A psychological thriller can be predictable, but J.R. Klein exceeded my expectations. This book was fast-paced and gave me the chills. The plot was unusual and interesting, and it kept me glued to the story. I just kept turning the pages to see what would happen next. The story was intense and mysterious with everything that was happening. Not all the events could be explained, and I was intrigued. The characters were excellently developed and authentic. I did not expect the ending and was left with mixed emotions. This book was amazing, and I recommend it to fans of psychological thrillers.
