The Lover and Interpreter of Human Oddities: A Novella by Anthony Labriola is the story of a man who loves to discover human oddities and tries to find a way to interpret them. Dr. Clive Wango is an eccentric man and he knows it. He has some very different things that he likes to do to pass time and throwing Truth Parties is one of them. Although he is a real estate tycoon, he likes to think of himself as a psychotherapist. He invites people to his parties and helps them come face to face with their real selves and repent if they must. However, he might have bitten off more than he can chew at his next truth party where he has to confront not only some eclectic minds, but he also has to face something that he never had to before. He has an obligation to himself, but is it enough to risk his life?
Humorous and witty, this very interesting novella, The Lover and Interpreter of Human Oddities by Anthony Labriola, has enough material to keep you thinking deep into the night. The almost satirical nature of the narrative had me hooked from the very beginning. Dr. Clive Wango is a very strange character, but he fits perfectly into the story. He brings life to the narrative with his wit and charm; he is smart, attentive and very intelligent. The pace is great and the flow of the story is perfect. In these limited pages, the author has succeeded in writing a complete story that will offer you entertainment and enough food for thought to make you question many things.
