The Lost Princess by Lee Tidball is a thrilling sci-fi novel that follows a young woman named Giana, and her experience as a kidnapped, soon-to-be slave onboard a spaceship. Giana has been bought by the son of the rulers on the planet Ty-lo, and the captain and her kidnapper, Ravin Kil-Joi, and head jailer, Nur-zai Gin, want to find out why she is so important to him. However, unable to get any information from Giana, Kil-joi ends up going back to Earth, pretending to be a private investigator, and Nur-zai listens and watches as Giana’s history unfolds before him on a brain wave recorder. But as both of them get closer to uncovering the truth, they discover that Giana might be more important than they originally thought.

With hair-raising action scenes and a diverse cast of characters, The Lost Princess by Lee Tidball is a really enjoyable read. The story is very well-written, with enough description to make the reader feel like they are actually there. I love that the plot included a girl in a wheelchair because they are underrepresented in literature. Each character is unique, and I love that their speech patterns illustrate their uniqueness. The story has many different perspectives which help readers fully understand the plot. The many action scenes are both exciting and nerve-racking. I was hooked by the first page, and I never wanted to put the book down. The story is very suspenseful and makes the reader want to know what happens next. I would definitely recommend The Lost Princess by Lee Tidball.
