After being raised in a home by an obsessive-compulsive mother diagnosed with neurosis, Tony Daloisio goes on to attain a Ph.D. in Psychology. His expertise in the field of human psychology through the decades enables him to write a set of guidelines to help readers live fulfilling lives. According to Daloisio, there are four types of masculine identities based on biological, physiological, and psychological markers. They are divided into archetypes of Kings, Magicians, Warriors, and Tricksters. All of these archetypes have a Mature and Shadow side. He further encourages readers to change their perspectives on how they view the world, including their surrounding environments, by planning, setting goals, and preparing themselves for change.
