The story was well written and while there was a lot of information and characters, the author keeps the story simple and it moved at a good pace. Prophecies are tricky subjects because they never turn out how you think and how can you know if they are true or not? That is the question in this story. I liked all the different supernatural beings in the book and how they were all affected by the events unfolding. I think it fits well into the epic fantasy genre and I would recommend it to fans of the genre and books like Game of Thrones.
