The Grave with Greener Grass: Finder Series by DL Havlin is a treasure hunt for money and valuables that no one has been able to locate. The only clue to its whereabouts is contained in an old letter. Sly Harrell takes on the case when he is approached by a woman wanting him to search for the money and artifacts that are hidden in a graveyard. Sly and his associate decipher the mysterious letter containing the directions that will lead them to find the buried valuables. Sly and Trotter soon realize they are not alone in the search and find themselves in danger at every turn. Dead bodies begin to appear, imposters are present, and a little romance is added into the mix. Much more transpires before Sly and Trotter find the answers they have been searching for.
The Grave with Greener Grass offers excitement, mystery, adventure, surprises, twists, and turns. The story was credible, the characters are well defined, and the outcome kept me in suspense. DL Havlin has an unusual writing style that combined events from 125 years ago along with the present into a wonderful blend that made for entertaining reading. I believe this is a great read for men, women, young and old, who are fans of mystery and sleuth novels. I also believe that the book has the potential of being made into a weekly TV show that would follow Sly and Trotter. I can even imagine who the leading men could be and I look forward to reading the next in the series.
