Wow! Just, wow! That’s exactly what I thought after I finished reading the excellent book by debut author Steven Eutsler, The End’s Beginning: Krinics Series, Book One. Follow the story of the precocious Allanna Alill as she finds herself in quite a predicament. After falling down a stairway in her grandfather’s Minnesota home, she wakes up to find herself in a new land, that of Krinics. She knows that she needs to get back to Earth, but isn’t quite sure how to do that. With the help of some new friends, Pe'Anitia, Snique, and Dazok, Allanna travels throughout Krinics to find the answers she so desperately needs. But as they journey through this strange and interesting land, Allanna learns that her arrival on Krinics might not have been the mistake she thought it was. In fact, her presence is very desperately needed, and the fate of the entire universe just might be at stake. Will Allanna be able to save the galaxy, and will she ever get back home? You’ll need to read the book to find out!
I so enjoyed The End’s Beginning: Krinics Series, Book One. Author Steven Eutsler has done an absolutely fantastic job in creating characters that his readers will be able to connect with, relate to, and truly care about, not always an easy feat in a work of fantasy. The book has a very strong Alice in Wonderland-like feeling, but is also extremely unique and creative and will take readers down paths that they never would have expected. The author’s world creation abilities are simply second to none. Readers will find themselves on the edge of their seats quite frequently when reading, and will have a very hard time putting this book down once they’ve started it. I highly recommend The End’s Beginning: Krinics Series, Book One to any readers who love fantasy or who are just looking for a great work of fiction in general. I will certainly look for more from the very promising author, Steven Eutsler, as soon as I possibly can. With his great talent, it’s unlikely that he will remain undiscovered for long!
