Welcome to the Land of Harmony, the happy place where The Bobos Babes live. They are the daughters of the King and Queen, but sadly their manners are not very elegant. One day, their parents decide that it is time for their daughters to learn how to behave and send them to Elizabeth the Emu for etiquette lessons. Elizabeth lives with her husband and two children in a beautiful and tidy house and is considered the most graceful creature in the Land of Harmony. Will she be able to teach the three unruly Bobos Babes good manners? Find out by reading the story The Elegant Emu by Karen M. Bobos.
How often have you tried to teach your children good manners but struggled to get the results? And how many times has it seemed to you that they had more fun not following the rules than learning to be polite? The Elegant Emu is the book that precisely describes this characteristic of children and the story is delightful. Perhaps only the protagonist disagrees with this statement, given her efforts to educate The Bobos Babes. The characters are unusual and cute, and the idea that the etiquette teacher is an emu amused me. Who would have thought that? Karen M. Bobos is an author with a vivid imagination and the story will make you and your children have a happy time reading. The last question I ask readers is: are you on the side of the very refined Elizabeth, or do you prefer to be unruly like The Bobos Babes? I like them all.
