When a registered letter arrived at the Hirley residence, requesting the presence of their son Jason at the attorney's office, the family had no idea of the adventure that awaited them. One hundred and twenty-five years ago, Jason's great-great-grandfather left a will with instructions that must be fulfilled by the youngest male Hirley. The family soon learn of hidden treasure in their house, containing a crystal bird stolen from the Amazon. Jason must return the bird to its rightful place; otherwise, a great tragedy will befall his family. The entire family is excited and they carry out massive research in preparation for the adventure. They, however, have no comprehension of the fun, terror, and beautiful magic they are going to encounter along the way.
Reading The Curse of the Crystal Kuatzin by Jan H. Landsberg is like going on a treasure hunt. The author built up an amazing mix of suspense and intrigue in the novel by carefully detailing every single step that the Hirley family went through as they embarked on their adventure. The book has a beautiful blend of paranormal events that are skilfully written so they are very vivid and yet not over the top. The Curse of the Crystal Kuatzin is a captivating page-turner that took me from a modern England setting to the beautiful, traditional Amazonian panorama. It is a well-written, well-detailed book and I loved reading it from the beginning to the very last page.
