The Consequence of Anna by Kate Birkin and Mark Bornz is a gripping story, a masterpiece worthy of book clubs and the big screen. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. The trifecta of Anna, Rose, and James made me feel like I'd officiated at a wrestling match, which ended without a victor or a vanquished. Everyone left the ring with scars and I too remain conflicted. Why did James wait so long? Was Rose justified? Did Anna love too much? Can morality be bent? Was Liam wrong to start the ball rolling? In the end, everyone got their wishes. However, while we play at God, fate might just be using us as instruments to fulfill a purpose. Thank you, Kate and Mark, for shedding light on Asperger’s syndrome, schizophrenia, and dissociative identity disorder. This was an intense read.
