"The Condor Song" was written by Darryl Nyznyk. It is a tale of survival of the condor bird, a member of an endangered species, as well as an attorney-at-law beaten by the trials of life. This intriguing story surrounds an environmentalist Buck Anderson who stumbled upon startling evidence of the existence of a species of vultures in California. His imminent death and the cover up by greedy developers spin an enjoyable yet intriguing web around the reader. The story encapsulates the lengths at which Mr. Wolf, the evil attorney of Flow Incorporated would go to protect his investment. The development of Golden World would be preempted by the decision to halt all future developments in the Sierra Nevada mountains so as to give the condor birds a permanent home.

The book is a fast-paced narrative that gives snippets of Mr. Donavan’s personal trials and tribulations. Like the soaring of the condor from the cliff, Donavan’s rise from shame to notoriety is an enjoyable read. It takes you from the depths of sorrow when Donavan loses his practice and family because of his moral stand at the law firm to his triumphant rise again as a reputable lawyer. It is a good mix of good overcoming evil and a love story surrounding Donavan and his lady love. I thoroughly enjoyed the descriptive detail of the Nevada mountains by Nyznyk. I felt as though I was actually present in the landscape admiring the beautiful scenery. Kudos to Nyznyk for a satisfying novel.
