The Christmas Snow Angels, written and illustrated by Marcela Brué-Lotz, is a heartwarming Christian children’s book about the beauty and joy of Christmas. In this story, we meet David and Emily, a brother and sister who are anxiously awaiting Christmas and the celebration of Jesus’ birth. It is Christmas Eve and the children are excited to go outside and play in the freshly fallen snow. After making snow angels, David and Emily are captivated by special messengers from heaven. The two learn about the joyful and triumphant celebration that takes place in heaven to honor the birth of Jesus and discover how they can help to be a part of this significant and special day. The wonder and peace of Christmas are shared in this delightful story.
The Christmas Snow Angels by Marcela Brué-Lotz is an enchanting story that highlights the true meaning of Christmas. Brué-Lotz’s beautiful illustrations, along with a recipe for sugar cookies, capture the warmth and coziness of the holiday season. This is a wonderful book for children and their families to read together as important moments from the night Jesus was born are shared in a clear and simple way that will be easy for children to understand. This story encourages children to have hope and to believe in the wonder of Jesus’ birth. The angels let children know that magical things can happen on Christmas Eve. I think this story may inspire many children to make snow angels on Christmas Eve as they watch and wait for a miracle.
