The Choice is a beautiful love story the first part spans the courtship of, physician assistant, Gabrielle Holland and, veterinarian, Travis Parker. The setting is 1996, Beaufort, North Carolina. Gabrielle and her purebred Collie were new to the neighborhood. Gabby was very observant. She noticed that next-door neighbor; Travis went to work each day wearing a t-shirt and jeans. She also noticed that he had frequent barbecues and played his music loud. Molly was pregnant and she was sure Travis' boxer was the guilty party. Despite their tumultuous meeting, the two quickly come to love each other. Travis was slow to commit. He enjoyed his singles lifestyle and was not sure where Gabby fit in. Gabby was involved in a serious long-term relationship. She had to decide whether she end it and follow she heart with Travis. The Choice demonstrates their decision making process and how it affected their lives. Eleven years later, on a windy, rainy night, there was a car accident. Memories came flooding back as Travis pondered the decisions he needed to make.
The Choice by Nicholas Sparks is an endearing love story. I found myself in tears before I finished reading this emotionally charged book.. Sparks has the ability to convey the view and emotions of the characters, drawing the reader into the story. The plot of The Choice is one of reality. Many must make decisions of "How far should a person go in the name of love" each day. Travis and Gabby are well developed; their relationship like most has its difficulties. Though they had disagreements, they never stop loving each other. The supporting characters add much to the story line. Nicholas Sparks creates a strong personality motivated account, supported on the foundation that love's endurance depends on decisions people make. Sparks fans will not be disappointed in his latest offering, The Choice. I suggest you run out and get a copy today!
