The clear and colorful illustrations are a superb accompaniment to the excellently described techniques in the text. The techniques are easy to follow and James achieves this by placing the variations of each core technique in diagrammatic boxes. I appreciated this simplification of challenging moves through additional diagrams. James includes the Japanese names of all the moves with each Judo technique, imperative for mastering any form of martial arts. This book will be beneficial to all Judo learners and practitioners.
